Productivity… and perspective.

Well, the days are flying. As of yesterday, we are exactly four months away from the wedding. Still seems like too long.

We’ve gotten quite a few things settled, or at least started. Danny and I began working on our registry Thursday night (after he made me delectable fish tacos for dinner), so we’ll post that soon. Danny’s been a huge help thus far–he lets me bother him about big and small decisions, he offers his creativity and his opinions, and he remains my biggest supporter. I’m a lucky gal.

I’m also pleasantly overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends and family. My mom, Mandy, and Aunt Penny are planning the Texas reception at an exceptional rate. Brigette has joined Jane and me for planning and design, and graciously offered to take charge the day of. Our friend Aaron is doing the photography. My friend Kayla is assisting with dress acquisition. Brian’s offered to help in any and every way; Aimee’s (hopefully) flying in from Maine and (likely) helping to bake; Paige is hoping we ask her to build something; Jane, Jana, and Kathleen have helped me figure out dress stuff; Danny’s mom, Robin, has already taken inventory and organized some decorations; my sister, Julie, is already hunting down bridesmaids’ dresses, etc.; Katy and Courtney are ever attentive and encouraging to me, as are Bret and Caleb to Danny; AND that’s not counting the countless offers we had from other family and friends. Our wedding is going to be so much cooler because of these people.

Wedding plan is fun and sometimes stressful. But it’s not that big of a deal. Marriage, on the other hand, is. So as we look forward to the day when we make a covenant to one another, to the LORD, and to His work, I ask that you pray for our future as husband and wife.
